Nick Diaz wins by unanimous decision over BJ Penn at UFC 137
Nick Diaz called out GSP after his win over BJ Penn at UFC 137. Diaz said, “I don’t think Georges is hurt, I think he’s scared, he’s scared to fight everybody right now…where you at Georges?” The camera cut to GSP in the crowd, and he shook his head, and jittered his hands, “acting” scared. After BJ Penn tweeted that Dana White offered him an deal that he “couldn’t refuse”, it left everybody wondering who he’d be fighting on October 29, 2011 at UFC 137. With Carlos Condit scheduled to fight GSP, no one really knew who to expect. UFC 137 Will Now Be Georges St. Pierre vs. Carlos Condit – October 29, 2011
Dana White just confirmed that the new main event for UFC 137 will be GSP vs. Carlos Condit. Apparently, Nick Diaz decided not to show up for the press conference or take a flight to Vegas for the announcement. Carlos Condit, who was supposed to be fighting BJ Penn in UFC 137 cried when he got the call that he’d be fighting GSP instead… Here’s the official UFC youtube video announcing the new fight:
